There are a few things that I miss about living in Arizona since moving back home to the PNW back in 2012, and storm chasing the Arizona Monsoon is certainly one of them.  I have been following not only my old school storm chasing buddies but also a lot of new to my Arizona storm chasers in what appears to be a pretty great monsoon season.

I have managed to make some trips back to Arizona since the move, and have even shot some great lightning shots here in Washington state during our rare thunderstorms, but this even I was really in the mood to share a “vintage” shot from Northern Arizona back in 2015.

We do have some local thunderstorms in our forecast this weekend and while we will possibly have some fire danger associated with the storms, I really am itching to get out and shoot some bolts.
