Seattle Blues

The Seattle skyline from Kerry Park in the Queen Anne district

I’m not going to spend a lot of time writing about this image of the Seattle skyline, it is pretty obvious that it is the Seattle skyline, you don’t need me to tell  you that.  If you google “Seattle skyline” you will find countless images from this same vantage point at Kerry Park in the Queen Anne district, there were no less than 50 other photographers at this location when I made this image, it is a popular photographic destination in Seattle.

All I am really going to say about this shot is that even though it has been done countless times, this is the first time I shot from there during blue hour and doesn’t take away from my enjoyment I had making this shot of how happy I am with the final product.  The moral of all this?  Don’t let the fact that a scene has been photographed countless times before take away from your shooting it for yourself.

I also wanted to take a second to remind everyone that most of the image on this site and in my galleries are available as signed prints.  All the information can be found here.  Even if you don’t buy prints, simply clicking on most images here will bring up a larger version, and I am a firm believer in viewing images as large as possible.

What a terrific shot, Scott! Love it, my friend!! Great details, colors and tones here, and I love how the Space Needle anchors the shot perfectly!
