Pitchers and Catchers

Macro of an old baseball

Football season is over, the Winter Olympics starts this week, and pitchers and catchers are reporting to spring training.  As much as I love football, I am also a huge baseball fan, but I really prefer being in the ballpark over watching the game on television, IMO the game is far to complex to enjoy with the limited field of view that a television offers.

As my little tribute to the pitchers and catchers reporting this week, I decided to make a quick macro shot of an old baseball that lives on my desk.  I hope you enjoy it.

This is really cool. I love it! What macro lens do you have? I’ve been wanting one for a while now.

Thanks. I have the Tamron 90mm 2.8. This shot was made with my D7000 and I had a somewhat cheap +4 close up filter on the Macro.
