Moose Creek

Moose Creek in Northern Idaho

The single biggest reason for our moving back to the pacific northwest was to be closer to my family.  I took a couple vacation days recently and spent some time visiting family as well as doing some shooting on the Palouse and northern Idaho.

This image is a 5 shot IR pano I created at Moose Creek Reservoir which is just a couple miles from where I grew up.  As a kid I spent a lot of time here, it is where I learned how to fish, it is the first place my parents let me go camping by myself, and it was also the site of a keg party or two when I was in high school. :-)

This image was captured with my IR converted D200 which has the super color IR filter from LifePixel.  I processed it to be a deep IR black and white.  IMO, the super color filter really does give you the best of all worlds when it comes to IR photography.

Scott – all I can say is “Wow”! You’ve got some really terrific stuff on your new blog. Congrats! Makes me want to try IR! (but I’ve got plenty of regular stuff to work on ;))

    Lee…
