Blood Red and Bright Yellow

Blood Red and Bright Yellow

Macro image of a red and yellow flower

My macro skills leave a lot to be desired, but it is one aspect of photography that I really want to improve on.  When my wife pointed this red and yellow flower out to me today I thought it might be a good subject to grab a couple quick shots of.  I have to be honest, this flower is much prettier in real life than it is in my meager attempt to capture an image of it.  The red is blood red and the yellow is as bright yellow as you could hope to find.  Nature is a pretty amazing thing.  I guess I should probably learn the names of the flowers that grow around here. :-)

Beautiful capture Scott! :) It’s a tulip, but I have no idea what kind! I can’t wait till we have some here, but that’s usually later in May!
