Astoria in IR

Astoria IR

An IR captured image of the Columbia River captured in Astoria, OR

Back in early October the Olympia Camera Club took a photo field trip to Cape Disappointment which is about as far southwest in Washington state as you can get, any further south and you are in Oregon, and further west you are in the Pacific Ocean.  During that trip we made a little side trip over the Columbia River and into Astoria, OR to do a little shooting, it is from the site of the Astoria Column that I made this image with one of my IR converted cameras.

I have already shared some images from that trip, here, here, here and here, but this is the first image I have shared that I captured on the Astoria leg of the day.

As always, I hope that you enjoy this image, I had a great time making it, and as is the case most of the time, you can click on the image to see a larger version.

Beautiful shot Scott. I love the bridge as I’ve been over it many a time. In fact my husband kissed me going over that bridge. Quite a memory. The clouds are gorgeous. IR does this photo beautifully.
