Out On The Lake

On The Lake

Reflections on Lake Lois captured with an IR converted camera

Now that winter, for what little winter we actually had, I have been feeling the urge to get out and flex some IR muscles. I drive by this vantage point on Lake Lois in Lacey, WA regularly and always thought it would make a nice IR image. I hope you enjoy it.

Ghostly Graffiti

Ghostly Graffiti

Graffiti on the abandoned ruins of a saw mill in the ghost town of Bordeaux, WA

A few days ago I posted an image made at the ghost town of Bordeaux, WA.  I titled that image Ghostly Water, this image was made just a few yards away from that image and I am calling it Ghostly Graffiti.

I believe that this structure was once the sawmill for the town, it really isn’t much more than a ruin these days and I can honestly say that I have somewhat mixed feelings about the site being tagged with graffiti.  The site is long since abandoned, and while part of me sees graffiti as vandalism, part of me also sees a beauty in the contrast that it creates in this location.
