Second only to my passion for capturing images of lightning bolts is my love of IR photography. I have been shooting digital IR almost as long as I have been shooting digitally, there is something about photographing what is essentially invisible to the naked eye that really appeals to me. This image of an old tree guarding a stretch of highway in western Washington is one that I made this past weekend and every time I look at it I can’t help but think of the John Fogerty song “The Old Man Down the Road”
I actually did a lot of IR photography this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, and I plan on sharing more from these two trips over the next few days. Stay tuned and I hope that you enjoy them.
